So my comp is Dong Zhanglao or Elder Donalson. He's from Lehi and had 4 years of mandarin before coming out here. So yeah he's definitely the one leading our discussions with the investigators since my Chinese is absolutely terrible. This language is so hard to learn. But I'm loving the MTC. The spirits extremely strong and last night we heard from President Clayton (senior president of the seventies). His talk was pretty great.All the general authorities who speak here at the MTC are very blunt it's wonderful. Sunday night we watched a message by Elder Bednar titled The Character of Christ and it was life changing. It was a few years back here at the MTC on Christmas so I don't know if you've already seen it but it's truly amazing. The first few days were really hard on me mainly because of the language but that message really changed all those negative feelings and it's been smooth sailing since.

Well its literally been just an amazing week in paradise aka Tianmu. Like its sooo beautiful here. Last Monday this investigator family, the Liang family,drove us to the east coast and took us to 2 historical spots, 九份 (Jiufen) and 金瓜石 (Jinguashi). Both have so much history and are just soooo beautiful. I loved it. But the best part was we got to spend all day with this super cool investigator family.  But anyways another little highlight from this week was General Conference. SO MUCH FOCUS ON THE SPIRIT. I loved it.  Anyways I'm loving the mission. Loving the mission. Loving the people. And most importantly loving Jesus.  Pics from last p day

Well 天母 is a pretty great place

Well 天母 is a pretty great place. Elder Triplett and I are already seeing so many miracles here. My first night here we had the opportunity to meet with this guy named Kirby that came to English class and had interest in learning more about us missionaries teach. So we taught him the Restoration and he was super interesting in Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. We invited him to come to a YSA fireside at the Jinhua Chapel and he came! He loved it and just didn't stop asking questions about the church the whole time. We then met with him again after English class and he set a baptismal date! He's just a super great guy and actually just becoming a great friend to me and Elder Triplett.  Anyways another little miracle from this week happened just yesterday. Elder Triplett and I have been making a pretty large effort to visit as many members as possible every  Sunday . So this week was like sooooo busy. When we first got here and like opened the area I was thinking we were just going to be on the streets trying to find people for like the whole transfer, but we already have appointments like all the time and are seeing so many miracles! I'm really loving this.  But anyways last Friday we met with our part member family kids I talked about last time. Their names are Charlie (12 years old) and Yvonne (10 years old) and they are the coolest! And their lessons have been going great. Elder Hammond said that Charlie already understands priesthood authority better than most adult investigators. So they're just golden. There's so much excitement about the gospel in their home now and its a great place to feel the spirit. Me and Elder Hammond were talking about what great of an opportunity this is because we talk to so many families and its just not their time to accept the gospel, but you always wonder how it would feel to be the missionaries
